Support for CLT boards and volunteers to successfully run their organisations
We know that most CLT volunteers get involved because their are keen to see local people finding a much needed home, and for homes to be provided in a place most suitable for that community. Running an effective and legally compliant CLT is an important part of that, but probably not the most exciting part of the scheme for many. To support volunteers in the effective and efficient running of their organisations we have launched a new CLT Governance Support Service to provide expert guidance and practical resources to help boards and committees stay confident, compliant, and effective.
Two levels of support are on offer:
1. BASIC Package – Essential Governance Support
Ideal for CLTs at any stage needing clear, practical guidance:
- Annual reminders for key deadlines (FCA, HMRC)
- Template meeting agendas and minutes
- Governance checklists and compliance briefings
- Email support and two annual governance calls
- Pricing: £350/year; free for Middlemarch-supported CLTs up until homes are built and occupied
2. ENHANCED Package – Comprehensive Support for CLTs which have completed a scheme
For CLTs already delivering homes who would appreciate extra support:
- Everything in the BASIC Package
- Tailored one-to-one support for annual returns, AGMs, and member registers
- Light-touch review of accounts for board/member presentation
- Advice on compliance, member engagement, and succession planning
- Email support plus up to three hours of phone/video consultation
- Pricing: £750/year for all live-stage CLTs
